65th Miss Universe - Showbitz Team Reacts

Showbitz Team reacts on the recently concluded 65th Miss Universe.

Earlier today, we’ve witness the crowning of the 65th Miss Universe, Iris Mittenaere from France. Although a crowd favorite, our bet Maxine Medina made its way only until the Top 6 of the competition. Mixed emotions from the audience and fans can be seen as their bets didn’t made it. I asked the Showbitz team about their reactions and comments on the pageant. The topic centered on three questions. The first question was on Maxine not being on the top three. They all agree that she was indeed the crowd favorite, given that the host country is the Philippines and the biggest fans of the pageant are Filipinos. As a matter of fact, the Philippines got the highest online votes. In addition, the biggest contributing factor on her way to reach the Top 6 is the votes that came from the fans. Performance-wise the team pointed out that she wasn’t able to understand the question clearly and the choice of not using a translator (there was but she chose to proceed in answering in English) cut her journey towards the crown. But the team is still proud of how she managed to go through the competition. Next question that I asked is their reaction to the newly crowned Miss Universe, Iris. Overall, the team are not expecting for Miss France to win as she was not a crowd favorite but her performance made her shine and finally making her win the crown. The team added that she indeed possessed the qualities of being a Miss Universe and she deserves the crown. Lastly, I asked what is their reaction on the Miss Universe event. They said that it may be not as highly exciting as previous Miss Universe events and most of their own bets and crowd faves didn’t went win, it is still a great show as it was held in the Philippines and we are able to showcase what the country has to offer.

How about you, what is your take or reaction on the recently concluded 65th Miss Universe?
